What MoneyZio.com is

MoneyZio.com is a general information website. Our calculators and guides are provided to help you understand roughly what UK tax, National Insurance, mortgage borrowing, and budgeting figures might look like, based on publicly available HMRC rates and common industry practices for the 2026/27 tax year.

What MoneyZio.com is not

MoneyZio.com does not provide financial advice, tax advice, or regulated financial promotions. We are not a financial adviser, mortgage broker, accountant, or tax agent, and nothing on this site should be treated as a recommendation to take any particular financial action. We do not refer users to specific mortgage lenders, tax filing services, or loan providers, and we receive no commission for any financial product.

Accuracy of figures

We make a genuine effort to keep the figures on this site accurate and up to date, and we source them from HMRC and other official or well-established references. However, tax rules are complex and depend on your individual circumstances — your tax code, benefits, expenses, and other personal factors can all affect your actual figures. Always confirm your exact position with HMRC, a qualified accountant, or a regulated financial adviser before making financial decisions.

Mortgage Guide specifically

Our Mortgage Guide gives a rough estimate based on commonly used lender income multiples (4x–4.5x combined income, up to 5.5x at specialist lenders). It is not a mortgage in principle, an affordability assessment, or an offer of lending from any lender. Actual borrowing depends entirely on individual lenders' own criteria, your credit history, and your financial circumstances.

Advertising

This site is supported by advertising, including Google Ads and product recommendations (for example, from Amazon or AliExpress). We do not carry adverts for financial products, lenders, or tax services. Advertising never appears within calculator results themselves.

Your data

Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to, stored on, or shared from our servers.
